12. The Mining Plan states underground openings will be permanently sealed. Please specify
how the adits will be permanently sealed.
The underground openings will be permanently sealed by deconstructing the portal and backfilling the
adit openings. Backfilling will be thick enough to cover completely and permanently seal the opening.
13. The bond calculation from the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) accounts for closure of one alit.
Please verify this is the most recent bond calculation from the USFS.
This is the most recent bond calculation from the USFS and includes one adit in addition to the originally
bonded adit. This item has been clarified with Amy Titterington at the USFS and the bond calculation will
be adjusted during the technical revision that adds an additional adit opening as discussed herein.
14. The Reclamation Plan states the waste rock dumps will be covered with tarps if deemed
necessary by the USFS. Please confirm that placement of tarps over the waste rock pile
would be a temporary measure to be employed during active mining operations and that all
tarps would be removed from the site during final reclamation,
Placement of any tarps over waste rock piles will be a temporary measure employed only during active
mining operations and all tarps will be removed from the site during final reclamation.
15. The POU calls for grading the site such that no rough piles higher than 18" would remain.
However, the Reclamation Plan states no rough piles higher than 24" would remain. Please
clarify this discrepancy.
As a technical revision to the Reclamation Plan, grading the site will be done such that no rough piles
higher than 18" will remain in accordance with the POO.
16. Please clarify if the gate at the lower end of the access road will be removed during final
reclamation of the site.
Unless requested by the USFS in order to safeguard access to the access road, the access gate will be
removed during final reclamation.
