Mr. Ron Thompson <br />accompanied the inspection and represented NECC. The Lorencito Mine is a reclaimed surface mine. As such, <br />no mine personnel remain on site. No mine facilities remain on the site. Vince Massarotti provided aditional <br />information during the inspection close out on 6/10/2015. <br />The weather in the area has been unusually wet. The Purgatory River was running high, but remained within its <br />banks along the stretch north of the Lorencito Mine permit area. The weather was partly cloudy with storm <br />clouds building to the west in the afternoon. <br />EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE — Rule 4.09 <br />Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br />Fill 8 was in good condition with no sign of recent rilling or gully formation down the face. Permanent <br />drainages on the east and west sides of the fill were holding up well. There is a small bare spot at the top berm of <br />Fill 8 where it appears repair work has recently occurred, NECC should watch this spot for weed establishment <br />and assure that the permanent reclamation community establishes. (Photo 1) <br />Fill 7 was in good condition with no signs of gully formation on the face. Contour ditches were holding up well, <br />Vegetation on the outslope appeared adequate to control erosion. Noxious weeds were not observed to be <br />problematic. <br />Fill 9 was in good condition with no signs of gullies or other damage.
