June 9, 2015 C-1981-013/Golden Eagle Mine JHB <br />The reference area had species not visually apparent on the reclaimed area, specifically more fringed sage was <br />noted on the reference area. along with hedgehog cacti, Orobanche uniflora, and Artemesia dracunculus <br />(Tarragon). The reference area was not weedy nor had it been grazed this season. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Vegetation on the reclaimed site looks good. Visual observation finds a good diversity of species: Smooth <br />brome grass, Orchardgrass, Spreading fleabane, Blue grama, Ragweed, Senecio, Western wheatgrass, Horehound, <br />Redstem filaree, annual sunflower and Curlycup gumweed are the visually dominant species. This list is not <br />exhaustive. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />Damage from run on from the neighboring property has caused a gully on the north side of the permit <br />area. NECC has conducted repairs to this gully. Replacement of hay bales and seeding of a stabilization seed mix <br />is needed. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />All topsoil has been re -spread at the reclaimed vent shaft.
