May 18, 2015 C-1981-025/North Thompson Creek Mine RAR
The native vegetation was emerging well due to a wet spring. There is a nice transition between the reclaimed and
the undisturbed areas. Weeds appeared to be at a minimum, with the exception of some thistles and knapweed that
due to the plethora of rain were beginning to emerge in a couple of locations at the time of this inspection. My
suggestion would be to treat any biennial, non native thistles this spring and before bolt, and again in fall treat the
rosettes. Timing of treatment for noxious weeds is crucial.
• Thistles
• Knapweed along channel to Refuse Pile pond.
Photo la: Wood and piping refuse.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 5 of 9
M-`
NA
IJ
Photo lb.
