the active phases versus future phases over the life span of the mine. Each active <br />phase will have the committed resources to properly reclaim the individual bench <br />cuts immediately following the mined phase. The opening of each phase 1 mining <br />area will be reliant on a pre -approved bond amount posted with the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety. A "Mining Operation Phasing" statement has also <br />been added to the Mining Plan Narrative. <br />19. Please specify if fuel will be stored on site. If so, specify the volume of fuel to be <br />stored and describe the secondary containment (lined berm, double -walled tank) <br />which will be used to ensure that loss of fuel from the tank is contained on site. <br />The Applicant should note that secondary containment must be able to hold 110% <br />of the volume of the tank. <br />RESPONSE: A 500 gallon double walled fuel tank will be used on site. A secondary <br />containment holding 110% of the volume of the tank will be provided. The fuel <br />tank location has also been added to the Mining Plan Map. <br />6.4.5 Exhibit E — Reclamation Plan <br />20. The Applicant has provided a seed mix for Dryland Pasture and a seed mix for High <br />Plains/Foothills. Please specify which seed mix will be used during final <br />reclamation of affected areas. <br />RESPONSE: The seed mix used during the final reclamation will vary due to the <br />availability of each provided seed mixes. <br />21. The Applicant provided a cost for mulch in the reclamation cost estimate. Please <br />specify the type of mulch to be applied and specify the application method. <br />RESPONSE: Added a "Vegetation Restoration" section to the Reclamation Plan <br />Narrative that specifies the types of mulch and how to apply it. <br />22. The Applicant provided a cost for fertilizer in the reclamation cost estimate. Please <br />specify the type of fertilizer to be applied and specify the application method. In <br />addition, please specify if any soil tests have been conducted to determine the <br />appropriate type of amendments to be used. <br />RESPONSE: Added a "Fertilizers" section to the Reclamation Plan Narrative that <br />explains the use of specific fertilizers. <br />23. As required by Rule 6.4.5(2)(1), please provide a description of the methods of <br />reclamation as related to the mechanics of earthmoving.
