AIR RESOURCE PR 0 TECTION R u le 4.17:
There were no indications of sediment or dust movement off site.
BACKFILL and GRADING Rule 4.14:
Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f);
Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6:
The portal and bench area appeared stable with no signs of slumping or bulging.
REVEGETATIONRule 4.15:
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
The native vegetation was emerging well due to a wet spring and weeds appeared to be at a minimum, with the
exception of Musk thistles (Carduus nutans), that due to the plethora of rain were beginning to be problematic at the
time of this inspection. My suggestion would be to treat these biennial thistles this spring and before bolt, and again in
fall treat the rosettes. Timing of treatment for noxious weeds is crucial.
• Cardus Nutans (thistles) becoming problematic in various places around the site, including topsoil pile.
