Ground conditions were damp and in places muddy. The day was overcast and 60? F. No snow was present. <br />Robin Reilley accompanied by Dan Hernandez both of the Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (DRMS) <br />conducted the inspection. This is a inactive site; therefore no company/operator was present for the inspection. <br />This was a complete inspection with a focus on hydrology and revegetation progress. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02: <br />Mine Identification signs and surface disturbance markers identified during this inspection were installed as required <br />throughout the areas visited. Both the topsoil stockpile on the upper terrace and stockpile at the entrance were observed <br />and found to be stable, well vegetated and marked with an identifying sign. The exception being that the: <br />• No Trespassing sign is quite worn. <br />• I � /�/I/ii" i :�� � l <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures <br />4.05.7; 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments <br />4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The observed double cell sediment pond (Pond A) appeared to be functioning. The pond held no water. The discharge <br />channel was free of debris. Vegetation was beginning to emerge and no evidence of instability or damage were noted <br />c)n pond slopes. <br />TOPSOIL STORAGE Rule 4.06.3(2): <br />The topsoil stockpile at the middle terrace was marked with an identifying sign, stable, and vegetated with adequate <br />effective perennial cover with the exception of: <br />• An area on the East slope where erosion and gullying were occurring. <br />• Areas on the top where noxious weeds, particularly thistle were taking hold. <br />The topsoil stockpile at the entrance was stable, and well vegetated. A trash issues was identified here. <br />
