Project Number: 74201125NO <br />Project: Squaw Gulch Valley Leach Fill (VLF) Week Ending: May 16, 2015 <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine, CO <br />Contractor: Ames Construction, Inc. <br />Reporting Period: 5.10.2015 through 5.16.2015 <br />Ambient Temperature Ranges During Week Weather Conditions During Week: <br />Highs: 46°F to 52°F Cloud Cover: Clear to cloudy <br />Lows: 26°F to 35°F Precipitation: Rain/Snow <br />Wind: Calm to moderate <br />Ames: Continuing construction tasks for the Valley Leach Facility (VLF). <br />Planning: Continuing construction activities and scheduling for the VLF. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS: <br />1) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (PSSA, Phase 1, and 2) <br />Note: An Amec Foster Wheeler field professional monitored fill material temperatures during fill <br />placement; average structural fill temperatures were above 32°F. All construction materials <br />placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods were in accordance with project <br />technical specifications. <br />Structural Fill: <br />The following Structural Fill haul to fill and grading activities occurred: <br />Cat dozers finish graded the slope between the C and E benches upslope from the ADR haul <br />road in Phase 1.The dozer was supported by a Cat excavator with attached rock hammer, <br />breaking oversized rock. A Cat smooth drum roller compacted the finished subgrade. <br />Cat dozers placed cut —to -fill in Phase 2 on the slope between the K and M benches upslope of <br />approximately stations K6+00 through K10+00. A Cat smooth drum roller compacted the fill <br />areas. <br />A John Deere excavator removed shot rock from UG #6004. The material was hauled to UG <br />#6639 with Cat 740 haul trucks.
