May 18, 2015 C-1992-081/Hayden Gulch Loadout JHB <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments <br />4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The truck loop pond was holding water but well below the discharge elevation. There was no evidence <br />that the Truck loop pond had discharged recently. <br />The train loop pond was holding a shallow pool of water well below the discharge elevation. <br />Ditches and culverts throughout the load out site and TAHR were all draining appropriately. Ponding on the road <br />was not evident. All culverts were functioning as designed. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) <br />Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The Tie -Across haul road was in good condition with no ponding or soft spots in the road. Precipitation <br />was draining off the road as designed. Ditches alongside the haul road were draining well. The TAHR has <br />recently been graded. There is a considerable amount of non -mine related traffic that uses this currently private <br />roadway. <br />All roads at the load out facility have been reclaimed. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The area has received several days of rain prior to the inspection. The reclaimed areas are very green and <br />the permanent vegetation is establishing well on the reclaimed areas. <br />Vegetation reference areas were generally located, but due to the wet, muddy conditions and sporadic rain <br />showers, these were not walked in the field. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />The reclaimed former office area is beginning its second growing season.
