I arrived at the King II facilities at 9:35 a.m. Tom Bird <br />and Wade Wymore accompanied me on the inspection of King II; Mr. Wymore and I continued <br />on to King L Southwestern Colorado has experienced a dry winter, and the snowpack has been <br />significantly below average. However, numerous storm systems have moved through the area in <br />recent weeks. Mr. Bird said the mine had received 2.33" of rain in May, to date, with 0.75" <br />having fallen over the previoius weekend. Skies were clear during the inspection, with mild <br />temperatures. <br />PERMITTING UPDATE: <br />MT -07 Midterm Review No. 7: An increase rider, provided by GCC in response to the rise in <br />reclamation costs computed under the midterm review, was accepted on May 7, 2015 with an <br />effective date of April 10, 2015. <br />TR -20 Coal Mine Waste for King I Highwall Backfill: The Decision Date has been extended to <br />May 29, 2015. <br />TR -24 Response to Midterm Review: This application was received on April 30, 2015, and <br />initiall deemed incomplete on May 5. The Division determined the application to be complete <br />for purposes of filing on May 15, 2015. A preliminary adequacy is due to be issued by June 12, <br />2015. <br />TR -25 Surface Water Hydrology: This revision, required by the Division to address the as -built <br />conditions at King II, is due to be submitted by GCC Energy on May 29, 2015. <br />ROADS Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) / 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) / 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6) / 4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />• The roads at King II were generally damp, due to the recent rains.
