The decision date for this Technical Revision is
June 1, 2015. The Division has reviewed the Technical Revision Application and has the
following comments:
1. The Operator is proposing to grade the site to 3H:1 V, rather than 7H:1 V. Please provide a
revised Reclamation Plan Map that depicts the proposed topography of the area with contour
lines of sufficient detail to portray the direction and rate of slope of all reclaimed lands. In
addition, the map must conform to the criteria outlined in Construction Materials Rule
6.2.1(2).
2. The Operator is proposing to revise the Reclamation Plan to eliminate the requirement to
backfill the Coors Pond. In order to approve this revision, the Division must receive written
documentation from the Office of the State Engineer which demonstrates that the water in the
Coors Pond was exposed prior to January 1, 1981.
3. The Operator is proposing to leave all internal access roads in place following the completion
of reclamation. Please provide the Division with a brief explanation of how the access roads
will be used in conjunction with the site's post - mining land use of rangeland. In addition,
please depict the access roads on the revised Reclamation Plan Map.
4. The Operator is proposing to breach or backfill sediment ponds in order to achieve positive
drainage. Please identify the total number of sediment ponds on site and specify which ones
will be breached and which will be backfilled; this information may be depicted on a map
(the map does not need to conform to the map criteria in Rule 6.2.1(2)). The map should
illustrate the drainage patterns which will result from breaching or backfilling the sediment
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http: / /mining.state.co.us
John W.
