Dear Mr. Myers,
On April 15, 2015, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received the
Notice of Intent (NOI) to Conduct Prospecting Application for Queen Elizabeth Mine, File No.
P- 2015 -006. The Application was filed for review on April 15, 2015. Our review indicates the
NOI application contains deficiencies as defined by Rule 5.1.3 of the Mineral Rules and
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal, and
Designated Mining Operations. The Division requires the information described below before we
can approve the NOI application.
1. The Application lists the prospector's company name as Myers Mountain Mining. A search
of the Colorado Secretary of State's records found that Myers Mountain Mining is not
registered to do business in the state of Colorado. Please clarify if you intend to permit the
NOI under the company name (Myers Mountain Mining) or as a sole proprietor (John
Meyers). If you choose to permit the NOI under the company name, you must first register
the company with the Colorado Secretary of State.
2. The Applicant did not provide all of the required location information on Form 1 or on Form
2. Please specify the Township, Range, Quarter Section and Quarter /Quarter Section for the
location of the proposed prospecting operation.
3. The Applicant did not specify the mineral which is proposed to be investigated under the
NOI. Please specify the minerals and/or resources being investigated.
4. Please specify the estimated dates of commencement and completion of the proposed
prospecting operation.
5. The Project Description section of the Application states that no surface material will be
moved. Please specify the amount of material to be moved within the mine and specify the
