Exhibit C - PRE MINING MAP
i
New map added for amendment area and updating current conditions
in the existing permit area.
Exhibit C -1 - MINING PLAN MAP
New map added for amendment area and updating current conditions
in the existing permit area.
Exhibit D MINING PLAN
Unless specifically discussed below, the methods described
and approved in the original 2006 permit application, including
the parts of the mining and reclamation plans will remain un-
changed. The current bond is $57,640.00. Mining will continue to
be done using a dry mining technique with front -end loaders,
scrapers and trackhoes. No blasting will take place at this
mine. The current Weed Control Plan will be used on the amend-
ment area. I I
We have attached a revised Map Exhibit C - Pre -Mine, and Map
Exhibit C -1 - Mine Plan Map for use during review of this amend-
ment. We have updated the existing mine area to show the current
conditions as parts of that area has been reclaimed and only a
minor amount remains to be mined in the northern part of the
mine. In this amendment the permit line becomes the affected
land line so that the buffer areas can be used if needed. This
also prevents any misunderstanding of what areas can be used if
they are disturbed. This change removes the section of text from
the original permit under 3.1.12(2)(a) Signs and Markers
Leone Sand and Gravel's lease'with Howell's is still in good
standing. The new area was leased,by the Biber Family Trust in
2013 and a Special Use Permit for amendment area was obtained on
12/9/14 from Las Animas County. We have included a copy of a
permission document signed by the landowners giving Leone Sand
and Gravel LLC. permission to obtain and operate a 112 permit on
the amendment area'in Exhibit N - Source of Legal Right to Enter.
We also intend to file a lease between Leone Sand and Gravel LLC.
And the Biber family with the Division as soon as it is avail-
able.
MINOR UPDATES AND HISTORICAL INFORMATION I
The operations have progress in the existing mine so only
36.80 acres± in a portion of Areas #1, #2 & #5 is left to be
mined on the mesa top and the eastern butte, Areas #10 & #11,
remain undisturbed and will be mined some time in the future.
A section of Area #9 that covers approximately 3.70 acres needing
final grading and seeding. Reclamation is partially or totally
completed on approximately 74.554acres in the remaining areas.
