If a problem occurs, take the following steps: <br />1. Evaluate the accident or spill area and determine that the area is safe to enter and respond. <br />Determine the nature and extent of the problem. DO NOT take action until the proper <br />course of action can be determined based on the nature and extent accident, spill, or leak. <br />Determination of the proper course of action must include the determination of required <br />personnel training, personal protective equipment (PPE) (e.g., body protection, face <br />protection, respiratory protection, if necessary), exposure and medical monitoring <br />necessary before personnel respond to the accident or spill. <br />2. In the case of an accident, administer first aid and medical treatment, if qualified to do so. <br />3. Attempt to stop or contain the flow of material. <br />4. Notify your immediate supervisor and the Site Environmental Coordinator. Site <br />management personnel are to report directly and without delay to the BMRI Environmental <br />Director. <br />5. Begin detoxification activities, if necessary. <br />6. Begin clean-up activities. <br />7. Implement spill and spill -path monitoring, if necessary. <br />The above outlines the actions to be taken, incident - specific' responses may also be required. <br />Incident- specific responses to be implemented will include evaluation of spill and spill -path <br />monitoring requirements and evaluation of spill notification requirements. <br />ERP and SPCC Plans <br />Battle Mountain Resources — San Luis, CO <br />11 <br />AES, Inc. <br />April 2015 (Update) <br />
