- Backfilling and grading of surface disturbance areas, including mine facility <br />area, remaining uncapped portions of refuse disposal area, Ponds 1, 2, and <br />3 areas, and light-use road segments. These activities resulted in <br />reclamation of approximately 68.6 acres of disturbed lands. <br />- Reestablishment of site drainage and installation of temporary sediment <br />control structures <br />- Soil material replacement on backfilled and graded areas identified above. <br />- Initial temporary cover seeding to stabilize newly reclaimed areas (due to <br />prevailing drought conditions) prior to permanent seeding <br />- Limited interseeding (25 percent) of the reclaimed Loadout areas to improve <br />vegetation reestablishment <br />- Permanent seeding of reclaimed facilities area, remaining portions of refuse <br />disposal area, Ponds 1, 2, and 3 areas, reclaimed roads, and ancillary <br />facilities areas. Permanent seeding of above described areas completed in <br />October, 2003. <br />- Shrub and tree seedlings planted on reclaimed facility area and remaining <br />portions of refuse disposal area <br />Ongoing and planned reclamation activities are designed and conducted to provide <br />for productive and self-sustaining post-mining land use of the areas disturbed by <br />EFCI's mining activities. <br />2.05.3-1 a Revised 5113/04 <br />Permit Renewal RN-04 <br />
