CWDA No. 3
#01349 -0001 ;' Hudd[eston -Berry
04/20/15 '% enmrmss r= me, uc
Site Visit Observations
HBET visited the site on March 11, 2015. At the time of our visit, gob on top of CWDA No. 3
was being moved around and compacted. In addition, wet gob was being placed in the drying
area at the southeastern corner of CWDA No. 3.
At the time of our site visit, a very small quantity of water was emanating from the underdrain
below the center of CWDA No. 3. In addition, several wet areas were observed along the south
side of CWDA No. 3. It was unclear if these areas reflected seepage from gob dewatering or if
they were simply wet from snowmelt. These areas will be re- evaluated during the 2nd Quarter
2015 site inspection. In general, no evidence of instability of other adverse conditions were
observed at CWDA No. 3.
General
In general, based upon the results of the recent VWP monitoring data and our observations at the
site, HBET does not believe that there is any reduction in the stability of CWDA No. 3.
Continued quarterly monitoring of piezometers is recommended.
We are pleased to be of service to your project.
