' Pitch Reclamation Project Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board — 2014 Annual Reclamation
2. LAND DISTURBED IN 2014
All surface disturbances in 2014 were associated with I effectively conveying snow melt and storm water
across the historical mine site to minimize erosion and siltation on areas previously disturbed during
' historical mining. Work included monitoring the erosion and drainage repairs done over that past three
years on the first three benches of the Tie Camp rock dump to remove accumulated silt, to facilitate snow
melt and storm water runoff from each bench to adjacent areas and to reduce erosion; monitoring the
effectiveness of grading and placement of boulders and riprap in the groin areas west of the Indian rock
dump to control and dissipate runoff in 2012; cleaning'of sediment traps on lower Indian and Tie Camp
drainage to prevent heavier sediment from entering the Sediment Pond; monitoring the effectiveness of
grading in the east wall of the North Pit to facilitate movement of water from the-10,800 bench to the
10,600 bench; and monitoring the drainage repairs in the South Pit to prevent water from ponding near
the slump area. All activities occurred on ground already disturbed for project related facilities.
2014 Reclamation Report
