The Division requests a copy of Exhibit C.2: Mining Plan and Land Ownership Map without <br />the permit boundaries associated with the former Masonville Div operation (M- 1985 -099). <br />3. As required by Rule 6.4.3(e), the Mining Plan Map shall portray the type of present <br />vegetation covering the affected lands. Please revise the Mining Plan Map to include the type <br />of present vegetation covering the affected lands. <br />4. Please identify all entrances to the site on the Mining Plan Map. <br />6.4.4 Exhibit D — Mining Plan <br />5. Please specify if there are existing stockpiles of topsoil or sandstone fines which will be used <br />during reclamation. If so, specify the approximate volume of material that is stockpiled. <br />31 <br />7. <br />8. <br />9. <br />10. <br />The Mining Plan states the reclaimed quarries may be returned to mountain pastures or <br />building sites. The Application form specifies the post - mining land use will be rangeland. In <br />order to place buildings or other structures on the reclaimed site the Applicant will need to <br />revise the post- mining land use to include either residential or industrial/commercial uses. In <br />addition, the Applicant will need to demonstrate the site is appropriately zoned with Larimer <br />County for the desired land uses. <br />As required by Rule 6.4.4(f)(i), specify the nature, depth and thickness of the deposit to be <br />mined and the thickness and type of overburden to be removed. <br />The Applicant has stated that waste rock (overburden) has been incorporated into the existing <br />working decks. Please specify what will happen to the working decks as the quarry operation <br />moves into other phases. If the working decks will need to be'graded and or moved, then <br />specify the volume of material which will need to be graded or moved. <br />Typically quarry operations generate a substantial amount of waste rock or overburden <br />during the extraction of sandstone. Please describe how the Operator will handle this material <br />during active operations including, where the material will be'stockpiled in relation to the <br />quarry area. - I <br />The Applicant has stated some of the waste rock generated from the operation may be sold. <br />The Applicant should note that any waste rock which is left in' place on the mine slopes will <br />have a bonding component for backfilling of the material.
