The following are the estimated reclamation costs for phase one mining operations at the
Schosser Pit I:
Overburden Backfill
The overburden backfill will be done using a scraper. The average haul distance will be
750 feet. There will be a total of 32,000 cubic yards of overburden stockpiled at the end of
mining in the phase one area.
32,000 cubic yards @ $0.90 (rate for average haul of 750 feet with scraper) = $28,800.00.
Gradin
The grading will be done using a dozer and /or a motor grader. The rate for this reclamation
will be considered using only the motor grader due to the flattened terrain. All 20 acres of the
phase one area will be graded.
20 acres @ $75.25 /Acre (motor grader rate per acre) = $1,500.00.
t
Topsoil Redistribution
The topsoil redistribution will be done using a scraper. The rate for this replacement with an
average haul distance of 750 feet is $0.90 per cubic yard.
45,000 cubic yards @ $0.90 /cubic yard = $40,500.00.
L -3
