The initial mining advance (phase one) will be from the west side of the existing excavated <br />area east toward the county road. This area consists of 20 acres. Once the area to the east of <br />the previously excavated area has been depleted, the remaining affected area material to the <br />west of this excavated area (phase two) will be mined. i <br />Upon completion of the phase one area mining, the area will be reclaimed and the proper <br />requirements will be me to initiate phase two. j <br />The product stockpile locations will vary from year to year. The product stockpile area <br />shown on the Mine Plan Map is the initial location. <br />The previously excavated area will be the initial plant site area. The material will be <br />processed in the excavated area and conveyed to the product stockpile area above. This area <br />will be incorporated into the pit reclamation plan. <br />Nature and Depths of the Deposit and the Overburden Information <br />The sand and gravel material is in an alluvial deposit. The sand and gravel in the deposit <br />averages 20 feet in depth. The topsoil averages 2 feet in depth and the overburden material <br />averages 4 feet in depth. Some of the overburden material will be incorporated into the road <br />base. <br />The locations of the future product stockpiles, futures topsoil stockpiles and future <br />overburden stockpiles are shown on the Mine Plan Map on page 5 -C. <br />The sand and gravel material is underlain by clay material. <br />Primary and Secondary Commodities and Their Intended Uses <br />The primary product to be processed at this site will be road base. The primary use will be <br />on various county roads, private roadways and possible roadways at future wind farm areas. <br />There will be a limited amount of rock products produced at this site and these products will <br />be used by Schlosser Inc. at their Redi -Mix operations in Burlington, Colorado. <br />No incidental products will be produced. <br />D -3 <br />
