C-1981-010 operated by Trapper Mining, Inc. (TMI) <br />conducted on 18 March, 2015 by Tabetha Lynch and Jared Ebert of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety. Mr. Graham Roberts with TMI accompanied us into the field. The weather was clear and warm. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Blasting Records were checked for compliance and availability. The last record available was from the <br />previous day 03/17/2015. The fourth quarter 2014 air blast report from Matheson Mining Consultants was <br />available for review. The last recorded trigger to the air blast seismograph was Jan 21st 2015 at 100dB. The <br />seismograph was last calibrated 9/17/2014. <br />At random the March 5th, 2015 record was checked against the scale distance equation in the permit rules for max <br />weight of explosives. The record was found to be accurate with all data available. <br /> <br />EXPLOSIVES Rule 4.08 <br />Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br /> The Division observed a parting shot at 4pm in L-pit. The blast warning signs were in place. The <br />Operator appeared to have closed off all roads leading to the blast area. Very little fly rock was observed. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> <br />East Flume Pond contained water. This pond was receiving water from pit dewatering. The pond was not <br />discharging. Below the pond was checked for any seepage, none was observed. No slumping or signs of highly <br />saturated sediment were observed.
