March 24, 2015 C- 1996 - 083 /13owie No. 2 Mine JDM <br />Y <br />ti4W <br />M_ <br />Pond J Pond K <br />Ditches and culverts were in stable condition throughout the mine site. Culvert C -C12 was in the process of clean - <br />out during the inspection. No issues were noted with ditches and culverts, with the exception of the following: <br />- Culvert C -B23 was damaged at the inlet of the apron and will require repair <br />- Culvert C44 is approximately 1/4 full of sediment from the outlet to approximately halfway into the <br />culvert and will require cleaning. <br />- Ditch D -J3 contains heavy sediment and has lost some design. This ditch will require cleaning to ensure it <br />maintains the approved design. <br />- The outlet of ditch D -C4 on the north side of the Portal Bench is blocked from coal material before the <br />ditch can enter culvert C -C4. This area should be cleared to allow proper discharge from D -C-4 to C -C-4. <br />War <br />ji <br />t � <br />� r <br />Y <br />I 3: <br />Culvert C -C12 Cleanout Ditch D -J3 <br />The Terror Creek Shaft SAE was stable with no issues noted, with the exception of the following: <br />- The northwest corner of the shaft pad rock -lined down -drain has been breached on the west side of the <br />drain. This area has slight down -cut and light erosion. This area should be addressed to ensure that all <br />run -off through the rock -lined drain is contained within the drain. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 11 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br />Page 4 of 11 <br />
