M- 1997 -053, TR -01
March 26, 2015
Page 2
Enclosed is a revised Exhibit F, Reclamation Plan Map, which incorporates items discussed above. The
overall post mining land use will remain as wildlife habitat as stated in the originally approved
Reclamation Plan (Exhibit E). The originally approved Reclamation Plan also indicated the District may
open the area for public recreation at some future date. This public recreation use is no longer a viable
option. Since the 9/11 attacks, numerous organizations have had to implement stepped up security
measures. Removing the option of public recreation, unfortunately, fell under the guidance of site
security.
Also enclosed is the Request for Technical Revision Cover Sheet and a check in the amount of $216.00
for processing the Technical Revision.
Upon approval of this Technical Revision, a request for a full release of this permitted site is anticipated
to be submitted for consideration by the Division. The current financial warranty of $20,725.00 is
sufficient for the affected lands of this site.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me at 970 - 242 -5370, or
gayle.lyman(&elam construction.com.
Respectfully,
Gay yman
Compliance Director
Enclosure
Xc: Travis Marshall, Grand Junction Field Office
David Reinertsen, Assistant Manager, Clifton Water District
