Compliance With Mine Plan <br />NA - Support Facilities Not On -site <br />NA -Other <br />NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />Y - Processing Waste <br />Y -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This inspection represents a complete coal inspection conducted by Jason Musick of the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining, and Safety at the Bowie No. 1 Mine. Robin Reilley of the Division accompanied the inspection. The <br />weather was clear and the ground was dry at the time of the inspection. No mine related activities were on -going <br />during the inspection. The site remains idle with no reclamation activities being conducted. The Bowie No. 1 <br />Loadout continues to serve as a storage /lay -down area used by Bowie Resources, LLC for the Bowie No. 2 Mine. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />All records were located at the Bowie No. 2 Mine offices. Please see the associated DRMS Availability of <br />Records. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />The post- mining land use associated with the site is rangeland and grazing. During the inspection approximately <br />20 mule deer were observed grazing on the reclaimed slopes of the east mine area. The site falls within the mule <br />deer winter range and no activities associated with the site deter wildlife from the reclaimed areas. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />All ditches and culverts at the East Mine designed to convey run -off from the reclaimed slopes to the ponds were <br />stable with no problems noted. The culvert beneath the access road to Ponds 1 and 2 and the culvert from ditch 7 <br />to Pond 2 were clear of sediment. <br />Ponds 1, 2, 3, and 4 and Ponds W -1, W -2, the Timber Storage Pond, and the West Ridge Pond were stable with no <br />problems noted. All ponds were dry.
