(TC). I, Jared Ebert with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
(Division) conducted the inspection. Mr. Brian Watterson with TC, accompanied me during the inspection. The
weather was sunny and clear.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1):
The records were checked at the mine office. See the end of the report for details.
EXPLOSIVES — Rule 4.08
Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4:
The explosives storage area was observed. During the October, 2014 complete inspection it was noted
that non -coal waste such as wood and debris was observed in the drainage ditch leading to Pond T. The Division
required the operator to clean out this area prior to the next complete inspection. During this inspection, wood and
debris was observed in the ditch. Mr. Watterson contacted a contractor that they had on site to come to the area
and clean out the debris. We met them at the site and they began to clear out the drainage ditch.
Maintenance items:
-A large metal tube has rolled down from the material storage area into the drainage above Pond T. This tube will
need to be brought back to the material lay down area or disposed of in an approved manner.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3
Page 2 of 10
