6. Significant spill procedures for spills of any size that enter state waters or have the potential to do so. <br />Notification of Regulatory Agencies: <br />For non - hazardous materials which may endanger health or environment; spills or discharge of hazardous <br />substance or oil, which may cause pollution of the waters of the state; the following measures shall be <br />implemented: <br />• Contact the CDHPE Environmental Emergency Spill Reporting Line (1- 277 - 518 -5608) within 24 hours of <br />the spill event <br />For spills involving hazardous materials, the following measures shall be implemented: <br />➢ Contact local emergency response team by dialing 911. <br />Contact the CDPHE Environmental Emergency Spill Reporting Line ( 877 - 518 -5608) within 24 hours of the <br />spill event. A written notification to the CDPHE -EMP is necessary within 5 Days (See Spill Report Form) <br />Emergency Response Contractors: <br />Disposal and Treatment Facilities <br />The Subcontractor must dispose of all wastes according to applicable federal, state, and local <br />requirements. A listing of potential Emergency Spill Response Subcontractors and waste disposal <br />facilities is provided below. This list was developed from state -wide data bases. This list represents <br />firms operating at the time the data base was produced. The Subcontractor is responsible for verifying <br />if a contractor or facility is currently operating under appropriate permits or licenses.
