Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan ( SWPPP)
Blue Valley Ranch Site at 3375 Colorado State Highway 9
SECTION 4: EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROLS
4.1 Natural Buffers or Equivalent Sediment Controls
Buffer Compliance Alternatives
Are there any surface waters within 50 feet of your project's earth disturbances? YES X NO
Check the compliance alternative that you have chosen:
❑ I will provide and maintain a 50 -foot undisturbed natural buffer.
X I will provide and maintain an undisturbed natural buffer that is less than 50 feet and is
supplemented by additional erosion and sediment controls, which in combination achieves the
sediment load reduction equivalent to a 50 -foot undisturbed natural buffer.
• Earthen Berm will be constructed, where deemed necessary by SWMP administrator, around
perimeter of site.
• Soil survey by the CDOT Region 3 Landscape specialist for project STA -009A -034 Sheet 270:
Soil on the site consist of loams with areas that contain shale and are a little more alkaline.
Buffer Exceptions
Which of the following exceptions to the buffer requirements applies to your site?
❑ There is no discharge of stormwater to the surface water that is located 50 feet from my
construction disturbances.
❑ No natural buffer exists due to preexisting development disturbances that occurred prior to the
initiation of planning for this project.
❑ For a "linear project" (defined in Appendix A), site constraints (e.g., limited (ght -of -way) make it
infeasible for me to meet any of the CGP Part 2.1.2.1.a compliance alternatives.
❑ The project qualifies as "small residential lot" construction (defined in Part 2.1.2.1.e.iv and in
Appendix A).
For Alternative 1 (see Appendix G, Part G.2.3.2.a):
For Alternative 2 (see Appendix G, Part G.2.3.2.b):
SWPPP Preparation Date 02 -12 -2015 Prepared by 10
