3.2 West Mine Reveaetation <br />The West Mine Unit is approximately 12.0 acres in extent (Map 1). Ground cover consisted of <br />61.4% live vegetation, 5.6% rock, 25.7% litter, and bare soil exposure of 7.3% (Table 2). Perennial species <br />exhibited an average cover of 51.7% and a relative cover of 84.2 %. Annual and biennial species exhibited <br />an average cover of 7.7% and a relative cover of 12.5 %. Noxious weeds exhibited average cover of 2.0 %, <br />and a relative cover of 3.3 %. Dominant taxa were alfalfa (Medicagosativa), thickspike wheatgrass (E/ymus <br />/anceo/atus var. /.), and cicer milkvetch (Astraga /us cicer) with an average cover of 18.7 %, 11.5 %, and <br />10.8% respectively. With regard to diversity, the West Mine unit exhibited two native, perennial herbaceous <br />species with between 3% and 60% relative cover, two native cool- season perennial grass species with <br />between 3% and 60% relative cover, zero native forb species with between 3% and 60% relative cover, <br />and a total of four native shrubs. <br />3.3 Run of Mine Reveaetation <br />The Run of Mine Unit is approximately 10.7 acres in extent (Map 1). Ground cover consisted of <br />54.4% live vegetation, 6.5% rock, 26.3% litter, and bare soil exposure of 12.8% (Table 2). Perennial <br />species exhibited an average cover of 49.5% and a relative cover of 91.1 %. Annual and biennial species <br />exhibited an average cover of 3.9% and a relative cover of 7.2 %. Noxious weeds exhibited average cover <br />of 0.9 %, and a relative cover of 1.7 %. Dominant taxa were thickspike wheatgrass, cicer milkvetch, and <br />small burnet (Sanguisorba minor) with an average cover of 14.3 %, 11.7 %, and 6.5% respectively.
