Re- vegetation progress will be assessed on a yearly basis and will be supplemented with additional
seeding and mulching as necessary to result in a stand of dry land meadow grasses similar to conditions
at the site prior to disturbance. Time of seeding will be late fall through end of April, with a month long
window between June 15`h and July 15th depending on local rainfall patterns during that particular year.
Final slopes will be no greater than 3:1, H:V, with the visual berm along the south side of the permit area
left after mining for privacy and night -time headlight mitigation from Road 305. The berms will be
constructed with overburden materials, primarily sandy and gravelly soils encountered during gravel
extraction operations.
Earth berms are commonly used on large lot residential sites throughout the State to mitigate vehicle
lights that shine at homes over long distances from county roads as well as wind and visual screening.
When coupled with vegetative effort, berms can substantially alter micro - climate surrounding the home
and living space immediately adjacent.
7
