Material uses include aquarium rock, landscaping stone, and precast. Some
fines are sold but not nearly as much as what is produced. There is a
section of the current face that exposes outcrop at the surface of the white
material and the black schist to be used during reclamation. There are
some weeds that are growing on the dirt cover of the stockpile and on the
berms. On the pit floor there are some spots where the parked vehicles had
leaked fluids. There was a lot more crushed material and equipment onsite
compared to the last inspection, making the pit floor very crowded.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS /NOTES Actions to be taken by the operator:
• Weed control needs to be done on covered part of stockpile and
also on the berms.
• The 55 gallon trash receptacles need to be marked along with the
oil covered drum and two large liquid containers.
• Clean up motor oil spills and use drip pans or other alternatives to
catch oil leaks while equipment is not in operation.
• If working on the road on the lower side of the stockpiles in the
staging area the road needs maintenance, due to storm damage.
PHOTOS
f
'.
