Comment 4 While the list of chemicals and substances appears complete, DRMS
required types and sizes of packaging for each designated chemical
Response:
Attached is the updated environmental protection plan containing the table that includes the requested
information. The contents of Table 1 have been checked against the MSDS sheets to ensure
consistency.
Comment 5 All of the maps require signature and date of Qualified Person
Response:
New maps will be produced at the original scale to include signatures and dates by the qualified person.
Comment 6 All environmental protection facilities require more detailed
descriptions, including actual capacities, construction details, dimensions, materials, linings, and
permeabilitles, and that those facilities designs are supported by engineering certifications
Response:
Agreed. The details demanded have been added and all of the maps in the set have been updated to
include appropriate certifications and dates. The storm water map has been updated from the previous
submittal to use a more accurate topographic base. As part of the Environmental Protection Plan, the
storm water map is designed to stand by itself with the layout and design parameters. Per request, a
portion of the design information has been copied to the body of the plan. A modification has been
made on the map to the surface flow design at the west end of the ore storage area. A shallow rise is
shown on the map across the west road to retain any potential surface runoff from the ore storage area
inside the permit area. The shallow rise will be accompanied by a low point in the berm to the northeast
(as shown) that is lower than the top of the rise. That low point will divert any excess water, not
retained within the ore storage area through it, and to the north toward the ponds.
