Each
item has been addressed directly in this response letter, or with revisions to maps and permit
narrative as needed. Attached to this letter are the revised components of the application, as well
as additional information from Brierley & Associates.
Given the number of adequacy items, and the amount of information required to answer them,
Asphalt Paving Co. requests an extension of the decision date to March 17, 2015. This should
allow DRMS and Asphalt Paving Co. enough time to address all outstanding permit questions.
1. The Division received comments from the Colorado Historical Society and the
Colorado Division of Water Resources. The letters are attached for your review. Please
address the comments noted in the letters, and make any changes in the application as
necessary.
We have noted the comments from the Colorado Historical Society, and the Colorado Division
of Water Resources.
6.4.3 Exhibit C — Pre - mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands
2. The `Introduction' section of the submittal states the purpose of submitting the
Amendment Application was to correct a small error in the permit boundary. Please
describe the error in the permit boundary and explain how it was corrected. The Applicant
should note that removing any portion of the mine site from within the currently approved
permit boundary requires a separate permitting action.
