Compliance With Mine Plan <br />NA - Support Facilities Not On -site <br />NA -Other <br />NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste <br />N -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a partial coal inspection conducted by Jason Musick of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />and Safety. Jared Ebert of the Division and Jerry Nettleton of Twentymile Coal accompanied the inspection. The <br />weather was clear and the ground was snow covered and wet at the time of the inspection. No coal trains were <br />observed on site at the time of the inspection. Permit Revision No. 10 is currently under review by the Division. <br />The longwall miner was in the 14 Left panel at the time of the inspection with CM miners operating in the 12 Left <br />gate roads. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Ponds B, C, D, E, F, G, 6NM sediment pond, 18 LT Ponds and the Area 1 Pit were observed during the inspection. <br />All Ponds were frozen and snow - covered, with the exception of the Area 1 Pit, pond D, pond B, and pond E. Pond <br />C and the 18 LT ponds were dry. All pond embankments were snow - covered with no evidence of instability or <br />damage. <br />PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br />Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br />The coal refuse disposal area (CRDA) and coal refuse disposal area expansion are constructed west of the <br />reclaimed valley and to the west of the Area 1 Pit. The CRDA and expansion continues to be an active refuse pile <br />in construction. <br />Refuse material continues to be placed in the RDA expansion area. Material was being stockpiled at the north end <br />of the RDA at the time of the inspection. The RDA was dry and well compacted at the time of the inspection. The <br />refuse material had not yet reached the head of the under -drain of the RDA. <br />A discharge was noted during the fall 2014 approximately 15 feet from the toe of the under drain. This area <br />continues to be monitored for instability and erosion.
