Site 07
Reseed subsidence area near Thompson's property
Portions of areas where subsidence had occurred in the past and were repaired in the past were
reseed. All areas at this site had been seeded shortly after they were reclaimed initially. Some of
the seed mix used in the initial repair failed to germinate or become established because of
drought conditions or possibly from being disturbed by turkeys scratching and eating the seed.
The area was located near property referenced as the Thompson's property and very near Newlin
Creek (Figure 2). I reseeded areas that had little herbaceous cover or were primarily annual
plants on December 21, 2014 with seed provided by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. The seed mix used
can be seen in Table 2. Mulch material from nearby the site was placed on some portions of
these areas after the seed had been raked into the soil and compacted.
f" V. b
Figure 8a and 8b. Both photographs show the vegetation condition in two locations where
reseeding occurred on December 21, 2014
9
