Project Number: 74201125NO <br />Project: Squaw Gulch Valley Leach Fill (VLF) Week Ending: January 17, 2015 <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine, CO <br />Contractor: Ames Construction, Inc. <br />Reporting Period: 1.11.2015 through 1.17.2015 <br />Ambient Temperature Ranges During Week Weather Conditions During Week: <br />Highs: 21'F to 39 °F Cloud Cover: Clear to Overcast <br />Lows: 15 °F to 25 °F Precipitation: Snow Sunday, Monday, and <br />Tuesday <br />Wind: Variable <br />Ames: Continuing construction tasks for the Valley Leach Facility (VLF). <br />Planning: Continuing construction activities and scheduling for the VLF. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS: <br />1) Earthworks <br />A) VLF (PSSA, Phase 1, and 2) <br />Topsoil /Overburden Stripping: <br />Topsoil was stripped between Benches K and I stations K16 +00 and 120 +00 in the Phase 2 area <br />and hauled to the Area 34 topsoil stockpile. <br />Tree Grubbing and Clearing, Chipping: <br />Tree removal occurred in Phase 2 south of Phase 2 Diversion Channel station 22 +00. <br />Production Drilling: None. <br />Production Blasting: None. <br />Structural Fill: <br />An AMEC field professional monitored fill material temperatures during fill placement. Average <br />structural fill temperatures were above 32 °F. Snow was removed from areas prior to fill <br />placement. All construction materials placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods <br />were in accordance with project technical specifications. <br />Material hauled from the Surge area was placed and compacted as structural fill per project <br />specification between Bench L station L4 +00 to L10 +00 in Phase 1 and upslope of Bench M <br />stations M22 +00 to M40 +00 as well as Bench N stations N9 +00 to N12 +00 in Phase 2.
