The portal and face-up areas will be hacklilled and graded to completely cover all
portal structures. including the retaining walls built along the portal entries, establish a stable
slope configuration, and eliminate exposed high«all areas.
• Portal Slope Heating System - 1.Jpon completion of mining, the slope heating system will he
dismantled and the small associated building will be removed. The concrete pad will remain
in place and will he buried during reclamation of the portal area.
• Parking Areas - After the parking areas are no longer required. any parking islands will he
removed and the associated scrap metal and concrete will be placed in the portal area and
buried. Similarly. paving material will be ripped. loaded. placed in the portal area. and buried.
Since the paving material has been placed ON er the previousl\ regraded and compacted surface.
the previously designed and approved regrading plan for these areas will not be impacted. and
reclamation of the areas will he completed with regrading. deep ripping to relieve compaction.
drainage reestablishment,topsoil replacement and reseeding.
• Rockrlast Tank - After removal of the rockdust tank and cement pad. the pit run gravel from
the truck access/unloading area will be dispersed in the facilities area. The area will he ripped
before the stockpiled topsoil is reapplied.
• Mine Fan - Upon completion of mining, the fan and motor will be removed from the
foundation and taken from the site. This will involve unbolting the fall and motor from their
respective foundations. The pre-engineered building will be torn down and burled in the pit.
The duct work and concrete pad or footers will he left in place and buried during reclamation of
the portal area.
• Mine Transformer - The transformer will be removed from the PSCM permit and salvaged for
future use elsewhere. Likewise, the transformer pad will be pushed into the portal area
during reclamation activities.
• Roads and Powerlines — With the exception of the mine access and coal haul road that will
be retained to provide long-term access in conjunction with the post-mining land use, the
remaining mine roads will be removed and then will be deep ripped to remove compaction
and the associated disturbance area during final grading operations per Sections 4.03.1(7),
Roads and 4.03.3(7), Light Use Roads — Reclamation.
