PERMIT #: M- 1993 -027
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: TOD
INSPECTION DATE: December 2, 2014
Reve etation:
There was some plant growth on the stockpiles and throughout the disturbed area. The growth in the disturbed
area appeared to be volunteer vegetation, comprised of grasses and a few annual weeds. No noxious weeds
were observed during the inspection.
Erosion/Sedimentation:
There were rills and gullies beginning to form on the graded pit slopes. At the present time the rilling and
gulling is not a problem. This will not be cited as a problem because re- topsoiling and seeding has not occurred
yet and all sediment is being captured in the pit. The current rills and gullies pose no threat to slope stability.
Signs and Markers:
A mine I.D. sign was located at the entrance to the mine site. Some of the permit boundary markers were not
field identifiable, the Operator is advised to verify the permit boundary markers before resuming mining
operations (attached is a copy of the Mine Plan Map).
Topsoil:
There appeared to be an adequate amount of topsoil to reclaim the site. There was a well- vegetated topsoil
stockpile located along earthen edges of the permit boundary. There was also a small topsoil stockpile in the
southwestern corner.
Inspection Contact Address
Kent Beach
Seifert Enterprises, LLC
60160 Hwy. 69 N
Westcliffe, CO 81252
Enclosure: Mine Plan Map
cc: Tom Kaldenbach, DRMS
