Jason Musick -2- January 28, 2015
➢ Revegetation of the borrow areas will be in accordance with the Reclamation
section of the Volume IX text.
d) A sediment control plan in accordance with Rules 2.05.3(4), 2.05.6(3), 4.05.1 and
4.05.2
➢ Please see Figure 2 and Maps 20 and 21 -3.
e) Revised map(s) in accordance with Rule 2.10.3, clearly indicating the areas
proposed for disturbance
➢ Please see maps 15 -3, 20, 21 -3, Figures 1 & 2
f) A reclamation plan and cost estimate was incorporated as part of TR -77.
g) A commitment from BRL that materials excavated from any borrow area will be
direct hauled for the purpose of covering the refuse material, and will not be
incorporated into the refuse material, such as for drying purposes.
➢ Please see revised text on Volume IX, page 8.
2) Upon approval of this revision, the footprint of gob pile #2 will increase to the north,
and, expansion to the east will begin as weather conditions allow this Spring. Under the
currently approved plan, once the Upper East Diversion ditch is relocated higher on the
hillside, gob can be placed in the draw where the East Diversion Ditch is currently
located, with the understanding the elevation of the top of the pile cannot exceed the
currently approved maximum elevation of 6292.
At a later date, a revision will be submitted to increase the height of gob pile #2, but at
this time, the only increase will be to the overall footprint.
The storage capacity will increase by approximately 135,000 CY.
The increase to the disturbed area associated with the footprint increase will be
approximately 5 acres and was approved under Technical Revision No. 89.
3) The revised hydrology for Ponds D and F are attached. Some "F" ditches have
been re -named "D" ditches, and will be routed to Pond D once the expansion is
complete. The re -named ditches are,
➢ DF18 is now DD7,
➢ DF19 is now DD9,
➢ DF21 -1 is now DD10,
➢ DF21 -2 is now DD11,
➢ F18 & F19 are now different ditches based on naming changes.
Miscellaneous Items:
The borrow areas will increase the disturbed area by 3.1 acres.
A reclamation estimate in the amount of $3,250 is attached.
A new Map 22 -D was created based on a request made as part of the mid -term review.
