This is a follow -up to the e-mail I sent you last Thursday. Regarding the five monitoring wells that the water monitoring section of Southfield's permit indicates are no longer being monitored (MW -7A, MW -7B, MW -8, MW -10, and MW -22), Janet last week helped me locate MW -8 and MW -10 on Map 12. Neither MW -8 nor MW -10 are located on Vento property; they are instead both located on "Cribbs- Jackson et al" property, which is immediately west of the Vento Property. As to the other three wells (MW -7A, MW -7B, and MW -22), they are listed on Table 1 of Southfield's 1986 AHR. Listed in this Table are well depths, seams in which the wells are completed, and depths of completion intervals listed in the table for all three wells. However, under the column entitled "Water Level Elevations ", the phrase "not monitored" is entered for all three wells, suggesting that monitoring of these wells may have ceased as far back as 1985, if not earlier. I reviewed Southfield's baseline geology and hydrology studies, in the hope of finding some sort of map that might have shown the locations of these three wells. No such luck. I'm now researching our archives, to see if those three wells show up anywhere in Dorchester's original Southfield permit application materials.
