2.05.6(6)
Prior to commencing mining activities on lease COC -75916 that could
cause subsidence, an appropriate augmentation plan for replacement
water will be decreed. The augmentation plan will consider drought
conditions and the limitations of local water supplies.
(f)(v) A narrative of the detailed description of measures to be taken to determine
the degree of material damage or diminution of value or foreseeable use of
the surface follows:
(f)(v)(A) The features which might be materially damaged by subsidence include the
water resources, roads and trails, power lines, transmission towers, and
landslides within the permit and adjacent area. The Operator's facilities may
be damaged by rockfall activity. The creeks, springs and ponds within the
area projected to be mined in current mine plan (ref. Map 14 -13) have been
extensively monitored. The water level and water quality of the groundwater
within the formation has also been monitored. The results of the monitoring
are presented in Volume 111, Exhibit 3. Map 6, Geologic Hazards, shows the
present location of existing landslides, debris flow, potentially unstable
slopes and rock fall hazards.
No pre- subsidence survey is proposed for the power line support towers
located along Terror Creek because they are located in a limited extraction
zone or outside of the projected angle of draw. A pre- subsidence survey has
been done for Bruce Park dams, see Volume X. The pre- subsidence survey
consists of a Geotechnical Data Report for the Bruce Park Dam and an
Addendum to that report both presented in Volume X. The geotechnical
reports present geologic mapping and subsurface geotechnical data for the
main dam and saddle dam. An additional pre- subsidence inspection of the
Bruce Park dams, Bruce Park Landslide and the surrounding area was
preformed by YEH and Associates, Inc. during 2007. Their report is
presented in Volume IIIA, Tab 22.
No pre- subsidence survey is proposed for the Jess Barrow Homestead
Cabin. Grand River Institute took new pictures to document the condition of
the cabin. (ref. GRI Project No. 2012 -109 20 November 2012)
PR-14 2.05-167- 03/14
