The aerial photos <br />were collected by Harry Ranney of CDRMS on January 22, 2015, then downloaded for review on January 23, <br />2015. <br />The Seneca II West Mine is a reclaimed surface mine. Limited activity occurs on the mine site during the winter <br />months. The site is inaccessible via surface roads due to snow pack, but may be accessed via snow machine for <br />water sampling. <br />Based upon the shadows present, it appeared the weather was clear at the time of the aerial inspection. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />Though no deer or elk were visible in the aerial photos throughout the mine site. Numerous animal trails <br />could be made out in the snow, particularly on the ridge west of PD -4 drainage area. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Pond 5 was holding a pool of water that was frozen and snow covered. No problems were identified with <br />this pond from the aerial photos. <br />Stock tanks T -20 and T -18 contained frozen pools that are snow covered. No concerns could be noted with these <br />two stock tanks from the aerial photos. <br />Pond 6 was holding a pool of water, that is frozen and snow covered. No evidence of problems with pond 6 could <br />be discerned from the aerial photos. <br />Stock tank T -5 was snow and ice covered.
