January 22, 2015 C- 1981 - 019 / Colowyo Coal Mine RDZ <br />The following ditches (at least some reaches of each) were inspected from the aerial photographs: <br />• Streeter South Side Ditch <br />• South Collection Ditch <br />• Prospect Ditch <br />• North Tributary, East Pit Ditch <br />• Final East Pit Ditch <br />• Section 16 Pond Ditch <br />• Section 28 Collector Ditch <br />• Section 29 Collector Ditch <br />• West Taylor West Trib. Ditch <br />• West Taylor East Trib. Ditch <br />• West Pit Fill Ditch <br />• Several contour ditches. <br />In these photographs, the ditches look stable and no other problems were seen. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />There was no evidence in the photographs that Colowyo Coal Company is mining outside of the approved <br />area. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.032(3) <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.032(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.032(5) and (6) <br />Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.032(7): <br />The new road to the South Taylor pit (Streeter Road) appeared to be in good shape. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The East Pit and West Pit reclamation areas were viewed in the aerial photographs. No significant <br />erosion was seen. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />The slump above the East Taylor Pond remains stable and is healing. <br />The area below the Section 28 Collector Ditch was inspected via aerial photographs. No sign of new damage to <br />the hillside was seen. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Several topsoil stockpiles were inspected, and no issues were seen.
