Compliance With Mine Plan-Support Facilities Not On-site <br />NNA <br />-Other-Special Categories Of Mining <br />NR <br />-Processing Waste-Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />A partial inspection was conducted by Rob Zuber of DRMS on December 29, 2014. The weather was very cold <br />and snowing. The ground was partially covered with snow. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage –Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Along the road to the Monarch fan, the riprap in the rundown is stable; the culvert at this location is <br />mostly clear. <br />Ditches and the California crossing at the Refuse Disposal Area (RDA) were found to be in good shape; no <br />erosion or other problems were seen. The Magpie Diversion was viewed from the lower end; no breaches or other <br />problems were seen. <br />The two ponds at the mine site, Pond 4 and Pond 5, were holding some water. In Pond 4 there appeared to be <br />several inches of water (in the form of ice), but Pond 5 held only a small amount of snow. Neither of these ponds <br />was discharging.
