It is anticipated that the required equipment for this mining phase will be a 100KVA diesel
generator, skid-steer mini-loader, front-end loader and haul trucks. Some ore sorting equipment
may be used, including a crusher, grinder, shaker table and vibrating screens.
Only water will be used for any ore sorting on-site. This water will be contained and recycled as
needed. Up to 500 gallons of water will be stored in a tank on-site. Up to 250 gallons of diesel
fuel will be stored in a raised tank on site. The operator will abide by all MSHA regulations for
fluid and material storage.
The vehicles and machines will require diesel and unleaded fuel, motor oil, hydraulic fluid,
antifreeze, grease, water and windshield fluid. A storage shed will be erected to safely contain
the flammable fluids and tools. Haul truck maintenance will be done off-site.
An Emergency Notification Plan will be posted at the mine. In the event of an injury or
chemical spill, all personnel will be taught to call 911 first, then MSHA within 15 minutes. The
Gilpin County Sheriff's Department and Central City Fire Department/Ambulance Authority will
be first responders to a 911 call. Since no planned underground activities are contemplated
during the first phase of mining, Mine Rescue team coverage is not required for this project.
Albert J. B and Date
Consulting Mining Engineer
