Final Application for Payment shall be in accordance with the Final Project Release.
1.02 SCHEDULE OF VALUES
A. An unbalanced or front -end loaded schedule will not be acceptable.
B. Summation of the Schedule of Values represents all work and shall be equal to the total Contract
Price.
C. Description of Items:
The Schedule of Values is presented to indicate major categories of work for the purpose of
comparative bid analysis and payment breakdown for monthly progress payments. The items in
the Schedule of Values are not intended to be all inclusive descriptions of the work categories and
the Contractor shall determine and include in its pricing all labor, equipment, materials, and
incidentals for doing all work to complete the contract as shown and specified.
1. Slurry Wall Mix Design:
This item consists of furnishing all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to collect
samples, perform laboratory tests and prepare a mix design for the bentonite slurry and
soil - bentonite backfill.
Measurement: The unit of measure for this item is Lump Sum.
2. Furnish and install slurry wall from top of cutoff wall to 5 feet into unweathered
claystone bedrock and 6 feet into unweathered sandstone.
This item consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor necessary to construct
a permanent, low- hydraulic conductivity, soil - bentonite cutoff wall from the top of the
cutoff wall neat line as shown on the drawings to 5 to 6 feet into bedrock. This item shall
also include but not be limited to furnishing and placing the soil - bentonite curing cap
above the soil - bentonite cutoff wall, and furnishing all equipment and materials.
Measurement: The unit of measure for this item is Square Feet and shall be measured in
square feet of cutoff wall complete in -place measured along the centerline of the
completed wall. Measurement shall be calculated as the product of the horizontal length
of the cutoff wall, and the vertical depth measured from the top of the cutoff wall neat
line shown on the drawings to the bottom of the wall 5 to 6 feet into bedrock as identified
by the Engineer. Measurement will not include overlaps in the cutoff wall required to
start and finish the cutoff wall or overlaps required to construct turns in the alignment of
the cutoff wall. The Engineer may locally require the wall to be excavated deeper than 6
feet into unweathered bedrock. In such cases the Contractor shall be reimbursed at the
unit price of bid item 2 shown on the bid schedule.
Wattenberg Resource Pond 3 Slurry Wall Section 01025 — Measurement and Payment
Page 1
