EXHIBIT J VEGETATION INFORMATION
The site reflects arid mountain steppe grassland displaying a number of native and introduced
meadow species that have populated the 8340' elevation. Grasses noted include Crested wheatgrass,
Western wheatgrass, Grama grass, and Sheep's fescue. The dominant native shrub species found on
site is Fringed Sage. Taller growing shrub species such as Sumac and Squaw current are limited to a
few specimens found over the entire permit area. Koshia, rabbitbrush, orchard grass, and brome
grass were also noted. This dry land site does not appear to have been irrigated in the past (no
ditches or surface water systems evident.)
A couple of dozen Cottonwoods are found growing along Froze Creek north of the permit boundary,
but no trees populate the permit area. This dry land site will be reclaimed to a simple mix of native
and non-native meadow grasses currently found at this location.
12
