The request is to remove soil and gravel. <br /> Soil Information: <br /> The soils within the proposed area is mainly Wages-Eckley-Dix (WeE) with a 5-25 percent <br /> slope. Other soils are Ra, CdB, AsB and AsC. A complete soils description and representative <br /> map is included. <br /> Vegetative Information: <br /> The vegetation on this site consists of native grasses, forbs, and annual weeds. The predominate <br /> grass species are western wheatgrass,blue grama,buffalo grass, sand dropseed, and side oats <br /> grama. Annuals included downy brome, sunflowers, wild lettuce, and kochia. Prickly pear <br /> cactus is present. <br /> Reclamation Plan: <br /> 1. Slopes: During the mining operation, cut or fill slopes should not exceed 3:1 side slopes (3 <br /> horizontal to 1 vertical). Cut slopes should be scarified to a minimum of three inches deep prior <br /> to placement of any soil material. <br /> 2. Top Soil: During mining operations topsoil should be stockpiled to be used in reclamation of <br /> the area.
