Structural fill was placed upslope from K-Bench stations K34+00 to K41+00. The structural fill
material placed in this area came from the following locations:
• The Surge area east of the Phase 2 Diversion Channel station 50+00 (day and night
shift)
• Stockpiled material from the Squaw Gulch Valley Leach Facility(SGVLF) haul road at
various stations(dayshift)
Any oversized material encountered was reduced in size by an excavator with a hammer
attachment.
Slope grading occurred in the Phase 1 area above SGVLF haul road stations 65+00 to 70+00.
Material generated from slope grading activities was stockpiled for subsequent removal and use
as structural fill.
Subgrade: (Operations Temporarily Suspended)
Soil Liner Fill (SLF): (Placement Operations Temporarily Suspended)
SLF was hauled from the Cameron Clay Pit area and stockpiled below Bench F between stations
F0+00 and F10+00.
Soil liner fill was placed to create an access road along the east Phase 1 slope approximately 50
feet downslope of Bench FF stations FFO+00 to FF8+00 for subsequent leak detection trench
construction access.
Cameron Site: SLF processing continued at the Cameron Site.
Underdrain System:
Primary Underdrain: Complete.
Secondary Underdrain: No work was performed during this reporting period.
Tertiary Underdrain: No work was performed during this reporting period.
Leak Detection: No work was performed during this reporting period.
B) Underground Workings:
Underground working UG 6579 was backfilled above previously placed cemented rock fill using
onsite structural fill, compacted per project specifications, and is considered remediated.
Ames began backfilling underground working UG 6551 above previously placed cemented rock
fill with an excavator using onsite structural fill. Additional remediation is required.
C) Geomembrane:
Phase 1 80-mil DSMS LLDPE Liner Installation: (80-mil liner installation is suspended at this
time.)
D) Drain Cover Fill (DCF) (Placement operations suspended at this time.)
E) High Volume Solution Collection System Piping (HVSCS):
No work was performed during this reporting period.
II) Storm Water Management
Best Management Practices (BMPs)are being performed.
