6.4.5 EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
11) Please clarify, will the Operator still use crested wheatgrass to seed the topsoil /growth medium
stockpiles. Please provide a seeding rate and method.
15) Please clarify, will the inert material be placed into the pit in lifts? If so what will be the average
thickness of each lift, and will the lifts be compacted?
6.4.6 EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan Map
16) Please see the attached memo from DRMS's Staff. The response to the memo may address this
adequacy item, DRMS will notify the Applicant /Operator if any inadequacies remain after
reviewing the response to DRMS's memo.
6.4.19 EXHIBIT S - Permanent Man -made Structures
20) In general, the response was adequate, however DRMS will continue its review of the
Geotechnical Stability exhibit provided in your adequacy responds letter.
6.5 GEOTECHNICAL STABILITY EXHIBIT
21) Please see the attached memo from DRMS's Staff. The response to the memo may address this
adequacy item, DRMS will notify the Applicant /Operator if any inadequacies remain after
reviewing the response to DRMS's memo.
General Comments and Questions
27) Please address the attached objection from City of Thornton. DMRS is in the process of
reviewing the Geotechnical Stability Analysis submitted by Deere and Ault. Please review and
respond the attached Memo from DRMS staff.
28) Do to the complicated nature of this permit application and adequacy responds, DRMS requests
that the Applicant /Operator address all changes to the Mine Plan and Reclamation Plan in the
original text. Please resubmit the exhibits for the Mine Plan and Reclamation Plan with all
changes made to the original text.
29) Please address and respond to the following 11 questions asked in the memo from DRMS's staff.
The current decision deadline for this application is November 25, 2014. Please provide responses to
the above comments soon enough for the Division to review the responses and complete a follow -up
exchange of comments and responses prior to the decision deadline. If you are unable to provide
satisfactory responses to any inadequacies prior to the decision deadline, it will be your responsibility
to request an extension of time to allow for continued review of this application. If there are still
unresolved issues when the decision date arrives and no extension has been requested, the application
will be denied.
