November 13, 2014 C-1982-056/Foidel Creek Mine JDM

A large gully was observed during the October inspection on the west slope of the RDA along the upper haul road
in Areas 2, 3 and 4. No instability was observed and RDA material was contained in the roadside ditches and
cleared. The upper portion of the RDA areas will require re-grading to ensure that run-off does not collect in the
low portion and create further down-cutting which can lead to instability of the pile. The erosion will need to be
repaired and compacted to ensure stability.

ROADS Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) and
(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)
Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
Roads throughout the mine site were snow covered but stable at the time of the inspection. All roads were in good
condition with no problems noted, with the exception of the following:
- The access road along Pond F was serving as a temporary lay-down area for longwall shields. This road
displayed deep rutting due to the heavy traffic in wet conditions. The longwall move has been completed, the
material remaining on the road will require removal and placed in a designated storage or lay-down area.

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2

45
Page of
